I loved this book! Easily as well written and gripping as John Grisham, and really long and satisfying - I was so chuffed when I discovered after quite some time of enjoyable reading that I was only 25% of the way through the book. As much as I was eager to know whodunnit, I didn't want it to end. The plot has enough red herrings and twists and turns that you never guess the ending, which came as quite a surprise. Very well written and looking forward to more of his books.Product details

The story spells out with satisfying clarity a cohestive set of mystifying legal wrangles around the central crime. Intelligent and suspenseful, the gradual unraveling proceeds through courtroom duels, golf course competitions, and unlikely alliances. Plot twists will hold attention until the closing pages.
Finally a well written legal thriller so taut and full of surprise I could not put it down!
Can't wait to read another by this author, but I really must get back to my life! Enjoy but be warned, you can't put this one down. And finally, a great read without the gore, my favorite kind.
A classic Whodunnit set on the golf links. If you skip the blow-by-blow account of a golf tournament, a decent murder mistery. Perhaps the solution of the puzzle might be too obvious for more seasoned readers, but nevertheless a good and LONG read.
The protagonist is a middle-aged criminal defense lawyer, who gets taken off the most promising case in his career. Obviously, he doesn't give up and follows the case on his own. He reveals a most intricate network of relationships between people involved, but will he be able to find the real killer? Well, the answer is, as you might suspect, yes, but he will not be very happy about it in the end.
Some proofreading glitches nothwithstanding, it is a nice book and I recommend it to all fans of legal dramas/murder misteries.

It is well plotted, well written. I enjoyed the golf context and learned a bit more about golf. It is a real page turner, would make a great movie. It is quite long, my only criticism is that I got impatient to know how it turned out, but was enjoying the book too much to skip to the end. I'll gladly buy the next book by this author.
I really enjoyed this book even though I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews. It was very balanced in suspense, courtroom drama and surprisingly even romance (as much as I could take anyway. It's a bit long but a real page turner. Would definitely recommend this one to anyone loving legal dramas.
I am not a golf fan, but if you have to have so much golf in a book, this is well done. Great book, great predictable but we'll worth getting to ending, followed by a great twist at the end. Though lay enjoyable. I was disappointed to find no other books by this author. But if this is his first, I look forward with delicious anticipation to the next. Excellent read with great pace and characters. We'll done.
I enjoyed this book. It lacks the courtroom drama of other masters of the legal thriller genre (e.g., Scott Turow) but has an interesting plot interwoven with the regular travails of every avid golfer. There are plenty of plot twists and surprises as well as some characters that you love to hate!
